Self Advocacy

The Arc of the Triangle offers the Triangle Self-Advocacy Network – a group for self-advocates with intellectual and developmental disabilities. TSAN believes self-advocates should develop the skills to speak for themselves. Rights, issues and needs of people with developmental disabilities are discussed. Peer support is encouraged among members relating to issues such as achieving greater overall independence and accomplishing personal goals. TSAN emphasizes self-advocacy, but it is also recreational. Social get-togethers are held several times a year. Meetings are held the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in Raleigh. And the first and third Thursday in Durham.
Call 919-832-2660  or email tmoore@arctriangle.org for more information, locations and time.
Ages: 18 and older, must be a member of The Arc of the Triangle ($10 a year)
