September 17, 2016 – Financial Stability. An introduction to Upward to Financial Stability training developed by National Disability Institute. Presented by Dave Curro. Bring a pencil to take notes.

October 15, 2016 –  The ARC of NC updated housing manual. A comprehensive resource for housing supports in NC.

November 19, 2016- First in Families, Rachel Pack. First In Families offers support to families and individuals of any age according to their self-defined needs. Examples include recreational items, home furnishings or modifications, childcare or respite, or repairs to vehicles. Support can also mean connecting an individual to vocational, social, and educational opportunities in the community; whatever it takes – for people to live and participate fully in their community.

December 17, 2016 – Alliance BHC Innovations Waiver, Employer of Record

January 21, 2017 – Transportation Issues and Solutions, ADA-CIL

February 18, 2017 – Holly Richard. CEO, Tammy Lynn Center. The ins and outs of Group Homes.

March 18, 2017 – The ARC of the Triangle. Duffy Palmer, Director. Employment Services for community based employment and transition services from high school to adult life.

April 15, 2017 – Alliance BHC Innovations Waiver, Employer of Record revisited. This was reschedulled from February. Sara Wilson with continue the discussion of the new Innovations Waiver with an emphasis on Employer of Record.

May 20, 2017 –  Advocacy 101, CJ Anderson. Advocacy 101 will provide stakeholders with the basic elements needed to impact change. Priortization, collecting data, collaboration, SMART goal setting and collective advocacy will be among the topics discussed. Participants will walk away with an action plan as how to effectively engage in advocacy.
