The Arc of the  Triangle is seeking volunteers* for our Community Connections program. Community Connections matches a volunteer* from our community with a participant (an adult with an intellectual and or developmental disability). The volunteer* and participant spend time together each month, enjoying recreational and leisure activities. This is a time to learn new skills, grow as individuals, and to get to know each other as the partner becomes more socially involved in the community.
Activities that volunteers and participants can do together are varied. Matches will be same gender. We match geographical location as well as similar interests.
*Volunteers are Adults 18 and older. Background check required. The Arc provides  training and follow-up support.
